Feel free to duplicate any of the information in this manual which would be helpful in planning your group's visit.
Equipment for Loan
The Division of Natural Areas is pleased to announce the establishment of it's "Teacher Resource Lending Program". The goal of the program is to provide access to technology and resources for inservice and preservice teachers interested in bringing environmental education to the classroom. Since this is a new program, certain criteria for borrowing the equipment have been established. To be eligible to check out any of the equipment, inservice and preservice teachers must have attended any of the ISMAM activities offered and/or attended a EKU science education class or workshop.
The standard rental time for the equipment is one week. Upon request, special arrangements can be made if a longer rental period is needed. The method of transporting the equipment will be determined at the time of the rental reservation. It will be important to reserve the equipment in advance,as much as possible, in order to insure obtaining the equipment for the dates requested and the best delivery method can be arranged.
To reserve and check out any equipment, please call the Division of Natural Areas at 859-622-1476 between 8am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday or e-mail: Dr. Melinda Wilder, Natural Areas' Director; or Karen Pratt, Administrative Assistant.
